The zoning hearing board will be meeting to review the Application of appeal to the Zoning Hearing Board filed by Watts Township and its Board of Supervisors against the application of MRPI Amity Hall, LLC/Susquehanna Crossing and the decision of the Watts Township Zoning officer dated February 26, 2024.
Appellant, Watts Township and its Board of Supervisors, filed its Application for Appeal on April 8, 2026 appealing the Watt’s Township Zoning Officer’s determination and decision. The Determination made by the Zoning Officer on or about February 26, 2024, was that data centers are a permitted use in the industrial District as “warehouse and similar non-processing storage and distribution uses” pursuant to Section 363.2 of the Zoning Ordinance.
It is the Position of Watts Township and its Board of Supervisors that data centers are not a permitted use in the Industrial Zoning District as a warehouse and similar non-processing storage and distribution use.
The watts township Zoning Hearing Board has scheduled this hearing pursuant to the authority and function granted tot the Zoning Hearing Board pursuant to Watts Township Zoning Ordinance 604, regarding the jurisdiction of the Watts Township Zoning Hearing Board to hear and decide appeals from the Zoning Officer.
The hearing will be held at the Watts Buffalo Community Center, 57 Black Snake Road, Duncannon, PA at 6pm.
